The Seattle Central Library (Too High for Me)
This afternoon I wanted to go to the City-Target of Downtown Seattle to buy the pillow protector I was missing. But on the way I ran into a strange building...
That's right, the Seattle Central Library!
This building was designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and was opened in 2004. I had to go on the top floor!
So I went inside and saw the elevators in front of me. I thought "Just take the escalator so you can see what the library has to offer". Well, it took me nearly seven minutes to reach the top floor. How could I know there were as much as ten stories! And on my way from the ninth to the tenth floor, I suddenly felt dizzy. "How my God, is this already too high for me?"
I managed to get to the tenth floor where I was able to admire the breathtaking views over... the library.
But of course there were some views over the city!
I didn't take a lot of pictures because I needed to go back to first floor urgently. This time I thought that taking the elevator would be a better idea because it would be much faster and I wouldn't have to suffer again from vertigo. Well, I shouldn't have.
The elevator took me from the tenth floor to the first floor in less than ten seconds. It was so fast for a instant I though that I was flying!
I quickly exited the building to get a breath of fresh air and resumed my trip to the City-Target. And I bought the pillow protector on which I had a nightmare about a rocket heading towards the library while I was on its tenth floor...
