I have not eaten a lot of deep dish pizzas in my life, but this was definitely the best so far, far better than Giordano’s. The official website of Gino’s East explains that the restaurant was created in 1966 and the delicious taste of their custom crust has not changed over the years. One of the strengths of this restaurant is that toppings can be customized as much as the customer wants; customers can also start from a standard pie with mozzarella and tomatoes and choose ingredients from a 20-plus list to make their own pie.

Also, the decor is pretty interesting… A lot of celebrities have their photos on the wall holding a slice of the mouthwatering Chicago Pie from the restaurant.
