2011 London Trip (Part 2)

Below are some other pictures I took in London during my 2011 trip there. As with my previous post, these were also taken with my mom’s Canon SLR (I can’t remember what film it was unfortunately, if anybody can tell, please leave a comment below!) This trip was my first time with this SLR, but I think most pictures turned out to be pretty decent. It was a lot of fun shooting with that camera!

As a side note, I stayed at the Hilton London Hyde Park during this stay, and while the rooms were really small, the breakfast buffet was amazing and the location just perfect (across the street from Hyde Park and just above the subway station.)

If you need a guidebook for London, I highly recommend the National Geographic Traveler: London as it really explains in depth the history of the city and has wonderful photography throughout the pages. It also includes a section about things to do around London and in England in general, which is valuable if you plan on staying more than a few days in the capital. And remember that Paris is only 2.5 hours away by train! The section about restaurants is usually outdated by the time I visit the city after buying the book (I tend to buy my travel guides years in advance…), but you can always supplement it with the Michelin Guide for London. I’ll post my London finds in subsequent posts.

Unfortunately I may not be able to share some of the portraits I took during this trip as I would prefer to get approval from the person, but — who knows — it may happen one day!
